Our Process:
Custom Design and Build
Initial Appointment
When you schedule the first appointment, Chad will meet you at your property in Springfield, MO, Nixa, MO or any of the surrounding areas to listen to your landscaping ideas, material preferences, and color choices. As we walk the property, we will discuss your landscape design vision so that Chad can understand which design styles are most important to you, and their feasibility.
Chad will explore various concepts, such as patio ideas, landscape lighting, flagstone walks, landscaping rocks, trees and shrubs, retaining walls or water features. Then together we will determine the next course of action. Having a copy of your Plat of Survey would be helpful but is not required.
Design Agreement
When the scope of work has been determined, we will provide you with a verbal preliminary budget. Once accepted, we will prepare a design agreement that specifies what we will design.
Site Analysis & Design
Your property is evaluated during the site analysis so that structures,
plants, and grade changes can all be reviewed. We can decide if any soil tests are needed to to determine nutrient and pH levels. The site analysis is blended with your unique vision to create an aesthetic and functional outdoor living plan for your review. We will present you with drawings to help you visualize what we will be doing. Details are tweaked until everyone is happy.
Contract & Scheduling
The contract spells out the scope of work to be performed, with a line item break-down of costs. General terms of the contract and a payment schedule are part of the contract. When we receive the signed contract you are immediately added to our schedule. Typically a down-payment is requested with the signed contract, but this is not cashed until the start date of the project.
Construction
To make things go as smoothly and stress-free as possible, we start acquiring both plants and hard goods for your project prior to your scheduled start date. The specific logistics of moving equipment, materials, and implementation of the work are also pre-planned to help things get started on — and stay on–schedule.
Regular site visits during the construction phase by your designer,
production manager, or crew leader will give you an opportunity to get questions answered or to learn about any unforeseen issues.
Completion of Project
At the completion of your project, we will walk you through the project to make sure you are pleased with the results. We will also provide watering and other general care information for your new plantings.
